Essential Oils in Everyday Life

Hosted by the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens and Soulful Essence
This workshop will explore essential oils and their effective and safe uses in everyday life. You will learn how to incorporate principles of aromatherapy to solve common, household problems.
Essential oils are the concentrated essence of plants. These concentrated botanicals retain the therapeutic properties of the plants from which they are derived and can frequently provide an alternative to conventional household solutions.
In this workshop you will learn how to make an essential oil based bug repellent, an essential oil cleaning concentrate, and a relaxing aromatherapy blend to be used on a diffusing stone (included) and as a calming bath oil.
The workshop will be led by Jessica Brantley. Jessica has practiced aromatherapy for nearly ten years and is the founder of Soulful Essence, Inc., a local aromatherapy company specializing in providing all natural, botanical based solutions for everyday living. Jessica’s believes it is critical to keep in close contact with nature every day. This connection to the earth helps ground and revitalize us. Through the use of essential oils and other botanical extracts, Jessica believes it is possible to achieve that goal simply and without fuss. With essential oils, no matter where you are or where you go, you can always bring nature with you.
